Mike Thompson
Head Baseball Coach
Coach Mike Thompson graduated from Newman University, where he completed his degree after playing collegiate baseball at Santa Clara University. He went on to play professional baseball for 10 years with the Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, and multiple independent league teams. After his playing career, Thompson coached at the collegiate level for Vanguard University and Saddleback College, along with roles at the high school and youth levels across California and Texas. He joined St. Michael’s Prep in 2025, and he and his wife Kate have three children—Haley, CJ, and Austin.
