Scott Calhoun

IT Director
Scott Calhoun has worked in IT for three decades, beginning at UT Southwestern Medical Center Dallas after graduating from the University of North Texas. After a brief stint at Power Computing, he spent many years at the University of Texas Austin in the Colleges of Liberal Arts and Communication. His most recent position at the UT Moody College of Communication was Assistant Director of IT, where he oversaw the front-line Help Desk and Equipment Checkout teams at one of the top 10 media schools in the country.
 
Scott and his wife of 30 years have three kids: two in college and one in high school. His recently adopted rescue dog Neville is his 82-pound shadow and competes for lap time with one of their two cats. 
 
One of Scott’s passions is music. Over the years, he has played bass in several bands as a weekend warrior, covering country, rock, and folk. He prefers groups that emphasize harmonies and continues his most recent and most rewarding gig: leading music at his church on Sundays.
