Matthew Stout

7th and 8th Grade Theology Teacher
Matthew Stout joined the St. Michael's Prep Faculty in 2026. Prior to St. Michael's, he spent a year teaching high school science at a classical school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During graduate studies, he also gained experience in catechetical ministry at parishes in Colorado and Missouri. Matthew teaches with a philosophy rooted in educating the whole person, following the example of Christ the Teacher, with particular attention to the relationship between faith and science. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology from the University of Kansas in 2023 and a Master of Arts in Theology, with a concentration in Sacred Scripture, from the Augustine Institute in 2025. Matthew is currently engaged and enjoys reading, hiking, watching both college and professional sports, and spending time with his fiancée and family.
