Janna Griffin
Director of Student Support Services
Janna Griffin joins St. Michael's Catholic Preparatory School as Director of Student Services, bringing 30 years of experience across every level of PreK through 12th grade. She has served students and families as a teacher, coach, school counselor, building principal, and district administrator. Most recently she worked as an Academic Counselor and Advisor at Anderson High School, one of Austin's premier International Baccalaureate campuses. Janna earned her Master of Science in Counseling and Student Services from the University of North Texas and her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Tarleton State University. She holds an active license as a Licensed Professional Counselor and founded MindWellAustin, a counseling and consulting practice dedicated to supporting educators, parents, teens, and children.
A proud Austinite, Janna is a mom of three, an acoustic guitar player, and a passionate advocate for the whole child. She believes deeply that every student deserves to feel known, supported, and celebrated, and she looks forward to bringing that belief to life every day at SMP
