Dr. Deann Trakas
Upper School English Instructor
Dr. Deann Trakas has taught great literature to young adults for almost twenty years. After being inspired by her professors at Southwestern University and her colleagues at St. Michael's Prep from 2007-2011, she continued her graduate education at King's College in London, England, then at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to St. Michael's Prep, she has also taught at Vanderbilt, the University School of Nashville, and Tougaloo College in Jackson, Mississippi. She is an adoring wife, a mom of three, a native Texan, and an aspiring triathlete.
