Carlos Llamas
Upper School Science Instructor
Carlos Llamas is an experienced science educator who has been teaching high school students for over six years in courses such as Biology, AP Biology, and AP Environmental Science. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and serves as an AP Reader for the College Board.
Carlos brings curiosity, clarity, and a love of the natural world into his teaching, aiming to help students see the relevance of science in their everyday lives. He has also coached high school soccer, combining his passion for athletics with mentorship.
Outside the classroom, Carlos is an avid soccer fan and proudly supports Bayern Munich and Austin FC. He and his wife enjoy traveling, attending music festivals, and exploring new brunch spots. In his downtime, he plays guitar and is currently learning Portuguese.
