Dr. Ida Fields
Lower School Dean of Students
With more than 15 years of experience in education, Dr. Ida Fields is passionate about building meaningful relationships and creating school environments where every student feels known, supported, and empowered to succeed. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside students, families, and colleagues to foster belonging, encourage personal growth, and help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Dr. Fields earned her bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University, her master's degree from Tennessee Technological University, and both her Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University.
Outside of school, Dr. Fields enjoys spending time with family and friends, discovering new restaurants, and taking long walks with her dog. She is excited to join the SMP community and looks forward to getting to know students, families, and faculty.
